It is with great excitement that I announce I have been accepted into another juried show, the Mixmaster @ the Matt Juried Members Exhibition at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury CT. The show opens Sunday, February 11, 2018 and work will be up until March 13, 2018. The work that will be on display is my painting Attack of the Cupcake Virus, 2016.
If anyone is in the area I hope to see you at the opening, February 11th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I wanted to give an update on how things are going in my artist practice.
I moved back to CT this past spring for a promotion at work, and a couple of my artist friends and I got an apartment together. We all continue to make work and encourage/support each other’s art. I have my own studio space where I have been continuing some work I began last fall, as well as starting some new work!
After relocating, I found out that I was accepted into an art show outside of D.C. called Wet Paint at the Workhouse Art Center in Lorton, VA. The show opened June 10th and ended August 5th. (See show photos below!)
I have been applying to more shows, and am getting ready to apply to graduate schools for their MFA programs, as well as any other opportunity that crosses my path.
Just a small update, if I get into any more shows I will post about them much sooner! Thanks for reading.
I found out in December that I was accepted into the New Waves show for emerging artists held by the Virginia MOCA. I was one of 27 artists accepted out of 282 applicants for the show. I am very excited for the show to open. If you’d like more info about the show, please visit:
